Your day starts with collection from your CBD hotel, for the journey down the&nbsp;Fleurieu Peninsula, to Cape Jervis for the ferry journey across to Kangaroo Island. The crossing takes just 45 minutes.&nbsp;You&#39;ll pass the beautiful Backstairs Passage and admire the clear waters and white sand of Penneshaw, where the ferry docks.&nbsp;</p>

Take a guided walk on the beach among a colony of rare and wild Australian sea lions with a National Parks Ranger at&nbsp;Seal Bay Conservation Park. There are more than 500 of these sea mammals that call the area home, and on this tour, you can get up close and see them frolic and laze about in the sun in an amazing and unforgettable experience.&nbsp;A place where unspoiled wilderness meets stunning beauty, Seal Bay has been home to an Australian sea lion population for thousands of years, and offers one of the most exceptional nature-based experiences in the world!&nbsp;Enjoy a delicious two-course lunch after leaving the conservation park.</p>

<p>Spend part of the afternoon in the Flinders Chase National Park. It was devastated in January 2020 fires, but you&rsquo;ll see that the regeneration of the native bush occurred&nbsp;quickly and there will be many opportunities to take photos of the renewed bushland. As you travel through the park, keep an eye out for local wildlife such as echidnas, wallabies, reptiles, and koalas. See the rugged coastline from walks around Remarkable Rocks and Admirals Arch. Remarkable Rocks provide great photographic opportunities, while the Admirals Arch boardwalk takes you down a rugged cliff face to reveal the spectacular rock archway, a natural nursery and safe haven for playful long-nosed fur seals.</p>

<p>Your last visit of the day is to the Kangaroo Island Wildlife Park to feed some kangaroos and get up close to the Kangaroo Island koalas while listening to the keeper talk about the cuddly mammals. There is also a possibility that you will see even more wild kangaroos and wallabies on your return to Penneshaw for your return ferry and coach transfer back to Adelaide.</p>

The day trip to kangaroo island is really worth it!
Our guide on the coach Joanne was really informative about the island and got us everywhere on time. It is a long day but you get to see some really great spots on the island! My favourite was seeing and Learning about the the wild Australian seal lions at seal bay. 
Lunch was a lot more than expected so that was really great too. 
It is a journey to and from the island but so worth it ! Would recommend

<h2>Child Policy</h2>

<p>Child prices generally apply to children aged 3 to 14 years, inclusive. In some cases this may vary so please enquire at the time of booking. Accommodation for children under 3 is generally free of charge but some properties may impose a small charge and/or a fee for providing a cot. Children under 3 years of age travel free of charge on SeaLink Travel Group services provided they do not occupy a seat. Children under 3 years are not recommended on Murray Princess Cruises.</p>

<h2>Room Configurations</h2>

<p>Twin share prices are based on a &#39;double&#39; - two people sharing a double bed (queen or king beds at some properties) or &#39;twin&#39;, consisting of two single beds. Please request either a &#39;double&#39; or &#39;twin&#39; at the time of reservation. &#39;Extra adult&#39; prices are based on sharing with two other adults in the same room. Should the extra adult wish to have their own room they will be charged at &#39;single&#39; rates. Single&#39; prices are based on a person having their own room. &#39;Extra Child&#39; prices are based on sharing the same room with two or more adults. Triple share prices are based on three people sharing one room with existing bedding (eg double/queen or king bed and a single bed). As most cabins on the Murray Princess have twin beds, a surcharge applies to cabins with a double bed.</p>

<h2>Hire Cars</h2>

<p>If you are hiring a car on the mainland and plan to take this to Kangaroo Island, ensure you check out the insurance conditions with the hire car company. Alternatively, hire cars are available to be picked up once you arrive on Kangaroo Island. Hire cars hired from Kangaroo Island are subject to special terms &amp; conditions, which will be confirmed at time of booking.</p>

<h2>Booking and Final Payments</h2>

<p>To make a booking, a deposit of between AU$50 and AU$200 per person is required (depending on travel, service, package or product booked) within 48 hours of booking. If booking is made within 30 days of travel, full payment must be made at time of booking.</p>

<p>Final payment is required within 30 and 60 days prior to travel (depending on travel, service, package or product booked). For all bookings made online, full payment must be made at time of booking.</p>

	<li>Between 15 and 30 days before departure - 50% of total cost</li>
	<li>Less than 14 days before departure - 100% of total cost</li>

	<p>For cancellations made 15 days or more before departure, the full value (less an administration fee of $50 per person), may be applied to another cruise if completed within 12 months of the original booking. If the re-booked cruise is of a greater value, the difference must be paid upon re-booking. Special payment and cancellation conditions apply for groups of 15 or more and Special Event Cruises, which are available on application.</p>

	<p>No refunds will be made for services not availed once travel has commenced. All refund claims must be made in writing. Please note operators (other than SeaLink Travel Group) reserve the right to charge cancellation fees in addition to the above.</p>

	<h2>Amendment Fees</h2>

	<p>Due to the complexity, staff time and communication costs of the booking process, a charge of AU$22 and AU$45 (incl GST) may apply to each modification made after the original booking. Please note that ferry and transport components of your booking can be edited online for one way and return only ferry bookings at no cost. 	<h2>Murray Princess Cruises</h2>

	<p>All cruises and packages featuring the Murray Princess are subject to the terms and conditions of the&nbsp;<em>Passengers Cruise Contract</em>, which is provided when booking any Murray Princess cruise or package.</p>

	<h2>Conditions of SeaLink Ferry Passage (Kangaroo Island)</h2>

	<p>Check-in time for all departures is to be a minimum of 30 minutes prior to departure. Due to loading requirements, SeaLink Travel Group reserves the right to refuse boarding for both passengers and vehicles that check-in after this time. Drivers only permitted on the vehicle deck. Drivers must accept direction by SeaLink Travel Group crew at all times during loading and unloading. Smoking is prohibited on the vessel at all times. Travel may only be permitted for a person or persons whose name(s) appear on SeaLink Travel Group manifests. Travel arrangements may only be transferred to another person(s) with the knowledge and authority of the Company and the person who made the booking. SeaLink Travel Group reserves the right to conduct a search of any vehicle or cargo and refuse to carry any person or cargo onboard any Company vessel or vehicle where the Company deems the person or cargo to be undesirable, unsuitable or dangerous. Flammable liquids in portable containers will not be carried (eg boat tanks, jerry cans, paints and thinners) unless arrangements have been made prior as loading may be required on a flammable/dangerous goods departure. If you are travelling on a &#39;Spirit of Kangaroo Island&#39; service you may be travelling with freight, which could include livestock or fuel. 	<h2>Carriage of Pets</h2>

	<p>One person only is to be in charge of taking pets onto the ferry and must be 16 years or older.&nbsp;Pet Owners must wait in the designated and signed areas with pets until directed by a crew member to board the ferry via the car loading ramp. &nbsp;All dogs pets not contained in their owners vehicle for the duration of the crossing must be on a secure lead or in an approved pet cage.&nbsp;Passengers with pets are only allowed on the top deck of the vessel which has an indoor and outdoor area.&nbsp;Pet owners are responsible for cleaning up after their animal&rsquo;s waste.&nbsp;Guide dogs, hearing dogs, assistance dogs and service dogs, including those in training, are permitted throughout the terminals and vessels and containment requirements do not apply.&nbsp;</p>

	<h2>Conditions of Travel and Booking</h2>

	<p>In these conditions &quot;the Company&quot; means SeaLink Travel Group, its servants and agents and &quot;the passenger&quot; means the passenger booked to travel. Travel must be completed within 12 months of payment. These conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Commonwealth of Australia and any Australian State. The Company reserves the right to cancel, vary this service in any way, or substitute any ferry or other means of transport without incurring any liability.</p>

	<p>Fares, times, schedules and routes are subject to alteration, without prior notice, at the discretion of the Company. The Company shall not be liable for any loss or damage which may arise in the event of cancellation of this service or the abandonment of the service during the course thereof (should the Company or any of its servants or agents decide that such abandonment is necessary) or of any deviation or delay in any service arising from any cause whatsoever. In any such event the Company will not be liable in any way for consequential damage including, but not limited to, the cost of accommodation or for any alternative means of travel which may arise and any additional expense so arising shall be the liability of the passenger</p>

	<p>The Company accepts no responsibility for loss of, or damage to, any vehicle being carried for the passenger, or luggage, or for consequential damages arising therefrom whether sustained during off-loading or transportation, and whether arising from negligence, malfunction of the vessel or other cause, except to the extent that the exclusion of such liability is prohibited by law. The Company accepts no responsibility for any injury and/or death of a passenger travelling on this service whether caused by negligence, malfunction to the vessel or other cause except to the extent that exclusion of such liability is prohibited by law.</p>
