We recommend getting to the departure point at Airlie Adventure Central, Shop 3, Coral Sea Marina South Village, approximately ten minutes before your safety briefing is due to start. 

If you have organised to be picked up from somewhere in Airlie Beach, you will need to make sure you arrive at your designated pick-up location on time. Your guide will let you know what time you need to be there in advance to ensure you can be picked up without delay. 

To make sure your tour is as safe and comfortable as possible, your guides will provide you with the following riding and safety gear:

New Australian laws have been introduced for jet ski hire and jet ski tour operators. The law requires that jet skis cannot exceed 30 knots.

Come rain or shine, Whitsunday Jetski Tours operate most days, meaning trips can be varied depending on the weather conditions. If there is a strong south-easterly wind (the prominent wind direction) on the day of your Airlie Adventure jet ski tour, your guides may offer a protected tour option around Pioneer Bay instead. 

You will be notified if the conditions are a little windier or more adventurous than normal, and it is up to you to decide whether you want to ride. In extreme weather conditions, tours will not operate to prioritise the safety of the crew and the participants. However, if it is just raining, then that’s no problem. After all, you’re going to get wet anyway!

Whitsunday Jetski Tours is obliged to meet specific safety criteria and ensure that guests have a suitable level of fitness and understand the basics of the safety brief. 

As this is quite an adventurous and physically demanding activity, a reasonable level of fitness is required to participate. You will also need to be able to swim while wearing a life jacket.

We suggest wearing casual, comfortable clothes, such as shorts and a T-shirt. Your outfit should allow you to move freely and be easy to change in and out of. You may also wish to wear your bathers as a part of your outfit so you can hop straight on your jetski after the safety briefing is complete!

Your tour will be fully guided and you will undergo thorough safety briefings and demonstrations beforehand. This will help to ensure you understand all the risks, precautions, and requirements of riding your jet ski prior to heading out on your tour.

Absolutely! This tour is open to beginners and seasoned riders alike. Whether you’ve been riding for years or it’s your first time on a jet ski, your Airlie Beach guides will be there to make sure you have the best experience possible. 

If you are pregnant or suspect you may be pregnant, you will not be able to participate in this jet ski tour. This condition has been put in place solely with your safety in mind, as jet skiing activities can pose a higher risk to people who are pregnant.
