No, you don't need experience. Segways are very easy to ride. Most new Segway riders will get the hang of riding their Segway within 5 minutes. Your experienced tour guide will show and teach you how to ride your Segway with a 30-minute training session at the beginning of your tour to ensure you feel comfortable and safe and have fun riding your Segway.

You can wear whatever you feel comfortable in. However, keep in mind the weather for the day and dress appropriately. Be mindful of sun exposure, wind or rain. Also, be aware that long loose clothing could potentially catch in the Segways wheels, so it is not recommended.

Yes. To ensure maximum enjoyment, commentary and safety on your guided Segway tour, you will have to stay in the vicinity of your experienced Segway tour guide.

Yes. While the Segway balances for you, it is still under your control and relies on you to control its direction and speed. Therefore, it is essential to know the limitations of your riding ability and the Segway and practice your skills accordingly.

Your ability to safely control a Segway will be assessed during the training phase of your activity. If, after an appropriate amount of training and familiarisation time, the guide assesses that you are not safely able to control the Segway, then for your own safety and that of others, you will not be able to take part in further activities. The good news is this has never happened.

The Segway tours are able to operate in the rain, as long as it is safe to do so and weather conditions are not cyclonic.

There is a recommended minimum weight limit of 45kg to ensure the Segway can register that you are standing on the Segway. There is a maximum weight limit of 117kg.

As per Queensland legislation, the minimum legal age is 12 years old. There is no maximum age limit, but fitness and health should be taken into account for seniors considering the Segway Tours. Riders between 12 and 18 years old must have parental/adult permission and supervision while riding Segways.

You'll have the choice of a delicious pizza, pasta or dessert.
