A minimum moderate level of fitness is required to complete the walks. The length of walks will be between 2 km to 3 km each day, often over steep rocky sections and in direct sunlight and high humidity. An approximate 4-8 km walk is included in this tour. Embarking on walks will be at the guide’s discretion to ensure the safety of guests. Therefore, a medium/high level of fitness is required, and a doctor’s certificate is required for participants over 70 years old, submitted at least 30 days prior to travel.

Due to limited storage space on the vehicle, there are specific baggage allowances depending on your tour route:

For round-trip tours (ie. starting and finishing at the same location): Each traveller is permitted 1 x 15 kg travel bag and 1 x 5 kg day bag. Larger suitcases should be stored at your hotel while on tour to ensure comfort and ease during travel.

For one-way tours: Each traveller may bring 1 x 23 kg travel bag and 1 x 5 kg day bag.

Australia is home to many dangerous creatures, extreme weather conditions, and varied terrain. Experiencing these dangers while camping, hiking, or passing time outside may increase your personal risk. Safety is the number one priority, and guides are highly trained to ensure passenger safety at all times.

The weather in the Northern Territory can fluctuate and be extreme. It is not unheard of for temperatures to reach over 40+ degrees Celsius in the dry season and in the evening the temperature drops dramatically. Please ensure you have checked the average temperatures for the time of year you are traveling and have packed adequate clothing. In the event of rain or inclement weather, your experience will still go ahead, unless contacted by the provider.

Passengers must advise dietary requirements to their booking agent at the time of booking. As the tour ventures to remote areas, once the tour departs, it is not possible to source meal replacements, so prior notice is required.

Guests are asked to participate in the preparation of meals, clean-up, unpacking, and loading of the vehicle, so everyone can relax together after a long day of touring. It’s also a great way to get to know and connect with your fellow travellers.

This tour is not suitable for mobility-impaired travellers, including those using wheelchairs, walkers, prams, or strollers.

FLIGHTS ARRIVING - ALICE SPRINGS (airport code ASP)

Given the tour departs early from Alice Springs from 6:00am, guests must arrive the day prior to the tour and stay 1 night (not included in tour price). Once you have booked your Alice Springs accommodation, the tour operator will arrange a pickup on the day of the tour. They do not provide airport-to-accommodation transfer services pre/post tours.
