Bring a small pack and leave your large pack at your Hostel if you are starting and finishing the tour in Alice Springs. If you are starting or finishing your tour in Ayers Rock (Uluru) you can store your luggage in our trailor during the tour. Shorts, T-shirts and good shoes during the day & a jumper for night time. Winter you can still wear shorts and a shirt during the day. However, you will need to bring warm clothes because it does get cold at night. Long pants, a good jumper, a beanie to keep your head warm and gloves are advisable. Regardless of the time of year that you are travelling you will need to bring a hat & sunscreen. Other things to bring include a towel, bathers, sunglasses, torch and toiletries.
A swag is made out of heavy duty canvas, sewn into a cocoon-like bag providing warmth, comfort and security - the ultimate of all bush beds! They have a 2 inch thick comfy mattress. You sleep inside your sleeping bag inside your swag so your body heat is trapped inside your sleeping bag and swag. A lot warmer than a tent!
We do not offer tents on our camping tour. Please contact us directly as we can arrange for you to hire Safari Tents at Ayers Rock Campground and Cabins at Kings Creek Station if you prefer for an extra cost.
