Covered shoes are essential and a jacket on cooler days is recommended.

We request that you try and wear dark clothing if possible so that&nbsp;we don&rsquo;t draw attention to ourselves or disturb&nbsp;the wildlife that we are trying to see.

Our vehicles are comfortable and clean. You will travel in our luxury 8 seat, hybrid vehicle, with comfy seats, air conditioning, video, easy to get in and out of. &nbsp;We think it&rsquo;s the best tour vehicle in Byron Bay.

We do offer walking and driving tours and can cater to people with a variety of disabilities. Please ask us if you have any special requirements.

The platypus is one of&nbsp;Australia&#39;s most recognised native animals, and you will get the opportunity to witness them in their own natural environment.&nbsp;It is possible to see a platypus at any time of the day, but the&nbsp;best chance is just after dawn.

Go in search of these unique mammals on a half-day morning adventure into the&nbsp;creeks they call home with a wildlife expert as your guide.&nbsp;Get picked up from your accommodation in a luxury 8-seater 4WD van as you drive towards the special platypus area to start&nbsp;an easy&nbsp;90-minute walk along the creek.&nbsp;

Your guide will lead you at a gentle pace, showing you what to look for and sharing many quirky insights about this much-loved Australian animal.&nbsp;Despite being a mammal, platypuses lay eggs, which makes&nbsp;them a monotreme. They&rsquo;re one of only five monotreme species left in existence.

&nbsp;

On this eco-tour, we usually see one or two platypuses, an abundance of birds and sometimes even koalas. After watching the platypus have their breakfast, we stop to relax with ours &ndash; a locally-sourced picnic by the creek &ndash; before returning to Byron Bay.

Our aim is to give you the best possible wildlife experience, however, we cannot guarantee platypus sightings. Do not worry, if we don&rsquo;t see them we can take you on another day at no charge.

Refund Policy: Refunds will be given at the discretion of The Operator. All requested refunds or cancellations must be received in writing, either via email or post. In the case of adverse weather conditions or any other environmental condition which may prevent a trip (including Park closure), a suitable alternative date will first be attempted by both parties. If an alternative date can not be found, a full refund will be issued. If you cancel with more than 48 hours notice prior to the scheduled trip date The Operator will issue a full refund. If you cancel 48-24 hours prior to the scheduled trip date, The Operator will issue a 50% refund.&nbsp;If you cancel within 24 hours or&nbsp;are a &quot;no show&quot;, no refund will be issued. Although every reasonable attempt will be made for participants to observe animals, we are dealing with the natural world and therefore there will be no guarantees of animal sightings except where specifically stated.

Booking Policy: 1. Full payment must be made at the time of booking. 2. In the case of adverse weather conditions or any other environmental condition which may prevent a trip (including Park closure), a suitable alternative date will first be attempted by both parties. If an alternative date can not be found a full refund will be issued. 3. All participants will be required to sign a form to release claims to waiver liability and assumption of risk. Parents or guardians will need to sign forms on behalf of participants under 18 years of age. 4. The Operator reserves the right to refuse admission to participants who are under the influence of alcohol or drugs (this is for your safety). If a participant has been excluded for intoxication a suitable alternative date will be attempted by both parties, if no suitable date can be found, NO REFUND will be offered. 5. All participants agree to follow the instructions of The Operator&#39;s guides at all times. 6. Anyone&nbsp;found maliciously harming the park or equipment in any way, will be excluded from the trip at the nearest possible exit point and will be reported to the authorities. NO REFUND will be given. 7. Although every reasonable attempt will be made for participants to observe animals, we are dealing with the natural world and therefore there will be no guarantees of animal sightings except where specifically stated. 8. Concession is any pensioner or student with a valid card. A child is a person aged between 10-17. Concessions must show their valid card at pick up. 9. The night vision experience is not recommended for people with epilepsy.
