Children 14 years and under must be accompanied by a paying adult or guardian aged 18 or over at all times. Cairns Aquarium reserves the right to verify the age and identity of any unaccompanied minor or young guardians.

For General Admission tickets the Aquarium is open between 10am - 3pm, with last admissions at 2pm.

Yes, the Aquarium is wheelchair accessible with designated disabled parking available directly in front of the building. The entry to the building and ticket office is through wide self-opening doors with a ramp located to the right of the entry stairs. There is also a low counter to the right.
The aquarium is equipped with disabled toilets on both level one and level two, complete with a shower with fixed fold-down seat, detachable shower rose, and baby change table. The upper level is accessible via an elevator located next to the escalator, and the pathways throughout the aquarium are wide, hard-surfaced, and easily viewable from wheelchair height.
Visitors using wheelchairs can also enjoy the touching experience on level two, and the aquarium features two theatrettes with tiered benches, with full displays visible from the top level.
Adjacent to the Aquarium is Dundee’s Coffee Shop and Restaurant, which is also wheelchair accessible with a ramp available next to the stairs on Florence Street. This unique venue has movable seating and wide aisles, and offers both indoor and outdoor dining options.
