<p>Your adventure starts with convenient pick-ups from your hotel in&nbsp;Cairns, Palm Cove, or Port Douglas (prices vary). Then, jump onboard the 9:50 am Kuranda Scenic Railway departure, where you&#39;ll&nbsp;wind your way higher into the range, through tunnels and over bridges, passing Stoney Creek and Barron Falls.</p>

<p>Once you arrive in Kuranda Village, you&#39;ll have some free time to explore on your own. Then, make your way to the bus stop outside the&nbsp;Australian Butterfly Sanctuary at 11:45 am for the short transfer to the&nbsp;Rainforestation Nature Park.</p>

<p>Rainforestation Nature Park is an immersive experience that lets you learn more about the environment, local Indigenous culture, and the wildlife that calls this beautiful part of the world home.</p>

<p>First, take an&nbsp;Army Duck Rainforest Tour, which includes a visit to a tropical fruit orchard. Travel deep into the rainforest on both land and water in an amphibious vehicle as your guide explains different species of flora and fauna.</p>

<p>At the&nbsp;Pamagirri Aboriginal Experience, you&#39;ll watch the Pamagirri Dancers perform in the rainforest amphitheatre. Then, join a Dreamtime Walk,&nbsp;learn to throw a boomerang and watch spear-throwing and didgeridoo playing.</p>

<p>Finally, at the Koala &amp; Wildlife Park, learn more about the native wildlife from the dedicated and passionate keepers. See crocodiles, wombats, snakes, dingoes, a cassowary, and hand-feed kangaroos and wallabies. You&rsquo;ll have an opportunity to have a photo taken with a koala or holding&nbsp;a small crocodile.&nbsp;</p>

<p>In among all the adventure, you&#39;ll also enjoy a&nbsp;delicious hot lunch at the Rainforest Cafe in the Rainforestation Nature Park.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Depart the park at 3:00 pm for the return shuttle to Kuranda Village for your 3:30 pm boarding of the&nbsp;Skyrail Rainforest Cableway.&nbsp;The 7.5km Skyrail journey takes 30&ndash;40 minutes and takes you gently down the side of the mountain suspended above the treetops with epic views out to the coast. It&#39;s recommended you spend time at the two&nbsp;stations en route: Red Peak Station and Barron Falls Station, especially when there&#39;s been rain and Barron Falls are in full force.&nbsp;</p>

Loved this trip! I purchased to go into the butterfly sanctuary in the morning, which was well worth the additional $20. The afternoon felt slightly rushed, but only because I love animal watching. The sky rail and train was stunning and picturesque. Would recommend.
