Behana Canyon is more family-friendly.

All canyons, depending on weather and group, have a jump of at least 4 metres, there are some higher jumps but they are optional. Prepare yourself to walk up to 3km throughout the whole experience.

Yes, the tour&nbsp;offers pick-ups around the city area for an additional fee per person.&nbsp;It may be cheaper to take an Uber to the meeting point, which is&nbsp;usually within a 500m walk from most city accommodations. Please note they don&rsquo;t pick up from private residential addresses, including airbnbs &ndash; this is due to a privacy qld law.

Surrounded by lush green rainforest, granite formations, and&nbsp;stunning views of the gorge, Behana is a wide-open space with its main feature being a series of waterfalls coming together into a bowl. From the main waterfall, you&#39;ll&nbsp;canyon your way down a variety of water features (abseiling, cliff jumping, sliding, swimming, and&nbsp;exploring) with your qualified guide.

The best thing about Behana Canyon experience is that everything on this course is optional and&nbsp;you can make the choice&nbsp;of what you&#39;d like to do without it affecting the other people in the&nbsp;group (meaning you can bail if you&#39;re not into it and it won&#39;t affect the rest of the tour). This makes it ideal for families or those a little nervous or first-time canyoners whilst still catering to those more intermediate/advanced levels in a fun, safe way.

This tour has exclusive vehicle use of the 3.2km track to Behana Gorge situated in Wooroonooran World Heritage National Park&nbsp;(40-minute&nbsp;drive from Cairns). Upon arrival, your guides will instruct each of you on abseiling techniques and&nbsp;the correct use of gear. Taking up a canyoning experience in the warm tropics offers a refreshing way to cool down, enjoy nature that will make your friends and family wish they&rsquo;d have done it with you!
