Itinerary 
It&#39;s an early wake up&nbsp;to catch the sunrise!&nbsp;You&#39;ll be picked up from your accommodation at 4.00am. From there,&nbsp;travel to Mareeba via the Kuranda Range.&nbsp; 
 
Next, from&nbsp;6:00 &ndash; 6:30 am, your guides will select a suitable launch site and prepare the balloon for takeoff!&nbsp; 
 
Depending on passenger numbers there are usually two 30-minute flights each morning. The first group will take off in the balloon, while the second group follows from the ground in a coach. See if you can see your fellow travellers waving! For those on land, this is the perfect moment to spot awakening wildlife and birdlife. 
 
After the first flight, you&#39;ll&nbsp;swap activities. 
&nbsp; 
Get ready to admire some stunning panoramas during the flight. You will fly inland in the direction of the Outback and east towards the hills that belong to the Great Dividing Range, that separate the Tablelands from the coast. There&#39;ll be plenty of photo opportunities! And don&#39;t forget to smile for the in-flight photographs. 
 
From 7:45 &ndash; 8:15 am it&#39;s time to dismantle the balloon from its basket. Then at 8.30 am make a comfort stop to check out the amazing photos taken during your flight. You&#39;ll also enjoy a hot and cold champagne breakfast. Yum!&nbsp; 
 
Afterwards, make your way back to Cairns where you&#39;ll be dropped off at your accommodation. You&#39;ll be ready to take on the say after this fantastic start!&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 
This is a&nbsp;30-minute&nbsp;balloon ride. Departs daily from Cairns and Port Douglas 4.00am and returns at 10.30am.
