The tours depart from&nbsp;75 Gulnare Rd, Bees Creek, Northern Territory. Guests will need to make their own way there. It&#39;s a 30-40 minute drive from the Darwin CBD, and parking is available onsite.&nbsp;

Kakadu National Park is located approximately 180km southeast of Darwin. By road, you may only see a small percentage of this enormous park, so if your time is limited in Darwin, the best way to see Kakadu in all its glory is from a helicopter!

Kakadu is the Top End&#39;s most biodiverse National Park, considered a world-class destination and the largest of its kind in Australia. It spans 20,000 square kilometres (that&#39;s half the size of Switzerland) and boasts millions of years of geological history with six different significant landforms!

&nbsp;

It is home to some 2000 plant species, over 470 wildlife species and 10,000 saltwater crocs. Not only that, the local Aboriginal people have occupied the land for 65,000 years. It&#39;s no wonder that it was first listed as a dual UNESCO world heritage site for both cultural and natural significance in 1981.&nbsp;

&nbsp;

If you ask the local Aboriginal people, there are six different seasons in Kakadu, so you can imagine the face of Kakadu will change throughout the year. If you&#39;re looking for raging waterfalls, loads of water &amp; green as far as the eye can see, your best chance is between December and April (wet season). However, if you&#39;re looking for clear blue skies and a higher chance of spotting a croc, April to November (dry season) is the time for you. The routes between seasons will differ, so you can see the best the park offers.&nbsp;

On this tour, lunch is included&nbsp;and you can decide whether you&#39;d like to enjoy a delicious meal at Cooinda Lodge or the famous Bark Hut.

Kakadu Explorer Terms

Infants aged 0-2 years can fly free of charge (FOC) on the lap of a parent or guardian with a maximum of 1 infant per flight (as per CASA regulations). 
Children 3 years and older must occupy their own seat and will be charged at the standard per person rate. 
 
All flights require a minimum of 2 passengers. There is no maximum. 
 
Payload limits apply to all aircraft. Accurate individual passenger body weights are required at time of booking. 
Matt Wright &ndash; Explore the Wild reserves the right to refuse entry to company aircraft if this information is not provided. Maximum individual seat weight limit of 130kg applies to all flights.
