License charges included in your whale shark tour go towards funding the Department of Parks and Wildlife&rsquo;s various research programs of whale sharks in the Ningaloo Reef and world wide, in an effort to protect, conserve, and constantly discover more about this beautiful animal.

Every ticket you book to swim with a Whale Shark contributes towards research into this mysterious species.

	Cancellations made 7 days - 72 hours prior to the departure date will result in the loss of 25% of the total booking fee.&nbsp;

	<li>
	Cancellations made 48-72 hours prior to the departure date will result in the loss of 50% of the total booking fee.&nbsp;

	Cancellations made within 48 hours prior to the departure date will not be refunded.&nbsp;

	Cancellations must be made in writing (post or email) and received by the supplier before the time constraints detailed in our cancellations and conditions policy. To avoid any miscommunication, requests for cancellations or amendments over the phone will not be accepted.&nbsp;

Ningaloo Reef, just off the coast of Exmouth, is a World Heritage-listed site and one of the&nbsp;longest fringing coral reefs in the world. It&#39;s home to turtles, manta rays, dolphins and of course, whales, who travel through the region as part of their migration from Antarctica to the Kimberley Region. It&#39;s estimated that 30,000 whales make this voyage each year, making it very likely that you will spot plenty on this&nbsp;half-day sail and snorkel tour.

Exmouth Whale Watching Itinerary

Your day will begin with a complimentary pickup from your Exmouth accommodation at 7:45am&nbsp;in the morning. You will be driven via shuttle bus to the boarding dock of your vessel for the day, a&nbsp;Windcheetah sailing catamaran. Once on board, you will be provided with all of your necessary snorkelling equipment and briefed on best snorkelling practices.

&nbsp;

After that, get ready to immerse yourself in the clear blue waters of Ningaloo Reef, which is a safe and serene snorkelling spot nestled in a sheltered lagoon. As you snorkel, you will get to see all sorts of beautiful Australian sea creatures including fish, coral and perhaps even turtles or rays!

&nbsp;

Hop back on the boat for morning tea and prepare yourself for the incredible humpback whale-watching experience that awaits you. Once your guides have located the whales, your catamaran will move closer to these large, docile creatures so you can observe them swimming through the reefs. The pilot, skipper and crew will assess the whales to determine the right time for you to get back into the water and interact with them! At their okay, you will put your snorkelling gear back on and get back into the water for a swim with the whales.

&nbsp;

After spending as much time as possible with the whales and other reef inhabitants, it&#39;s time to get back on board the catamaran for a buffet lunch. As you eat, look out for other creatures that you may be able to spot from the boat. The catamaran will head back inside the bright blue lagoon and anchor up at a new spot so you can go on one last snorkel. If the time and weather permits, you will also get to test out one of the Stand Up Paddle Boards or Glass-Bottom Kayaks available for tour participants. If you prefer to stay on the boat and relax, there will be plenty of snacks, drinks and other refreshments for you to enjoy.&nbsp;

&nbsp;

Once you return to shore, you will be dropped back off at your Exmouth accommodation&nbsp;around 4pm. You will also go home with a complimentary photo package of pictures from your trip so you can always remember it!

&nbsp;

Guests who book on as &quot;Observers&quot; are welcome to participate in all itinerary activities except for entering the water with a Humpback Whale.
