Frequently Asked Questions

Do the tours run in wet/bad weather?

Yes, the tours run in almost all weather conditions if it is safe to do so. The tours will proceed in all weather unless there is a flood warning or a Total Fire Ban has been declared.

The safety of visitors and staff is the first priority, and The Operator may reschedule or cancel tours in extreme weather conditions. If this happens, they will try to give participants as much prior warning as possible.

Please note Southwestern Victorian weather can be unpredictable and change quickly, so it’s best to be prepared and dress accordingly.

If your child can walk unaided for half an hour, or if you can carry your infant for this long, they will be OK on the tour.

As the tours include walking in the bush and through wetlands, The Operator recommends comfortable walking shoes at all times. Please consider the following:

  • Walking shoes/hiking boots
  • Long pants (winter) and good socks for walking
  • Hat and sunscreen in summer
  • Drink bottle
  • Umbrella or raincoat
  • Scarf/gloves/jacket/beanie for cooler months
  • Phone/camera
  • Money for the gift shop and cafe (the venue is cashless, so please bring a credit/debit card)
