It is Sarina Sugar Shed wheelchair friendly/accessible?
Sarina Sugar Shed offers a level, flat surface without stairs, steps or gutters which means it is fully accessible for wheelchairs and other mobility aids. The ground surfaces alternate between paved areas, concrete floors, timber-veneer floors and compacted finely-crushed stone paths outside. The tour guides will readily assist throughout the tour.
Tours and Facility Parking: Accessible parking is conveniently situated around 70 meters from the entrance of the Sugar Shed. Ramps and pathways are provided for easy access to the entrance. Larger vehicles, including those with caravans and trailers, can use pull-through parking located approximately 100 meters away.
Mobility Accessibility: Wheelchair and walker users will find easy navigation through the café and tour areas due to the presence of wide doors. While the tour involves around 1 hour of walking and standing, limited seating can be arranged during mill area and tasting sessions. A wheelchair-accessible bathroom is available and also shared with the baby change room.
Sight Impairment: Visitors with visual impairments can inform the tour guide upon arrival if they need additional descriptors during the tour.
Hearing Impairment: Tour guides utilize microphones to ensure audibility. Guests with hearing impairments are encouraged to notify us in advance for an optimal tour experience. Please note that severe hearing impairments might not be accommodated at the moment.

Parking for the Sarina Sugar Shed is available in two locations. The main parking area is within the Field of Dreams Parklands precinct, with several shared parking areas – the furthest is a 200-metre walk to the Sugar Shed. There is also limited car parking at the southern end of the Sugar Shed, accessed directly from the Bruce Highway and shares an entrance with the adjacent Wilmar Sugar mill. This is a 50-metre walk to the Sugar Shed entry point.

The minimum age for the distillery tour is 18 years. However, children are more than welcome on the regular Sugar Shed tour.
