Great Keppel Island is a white-sand, turquoise-water haven off the coast of Yeppoon, in the Southern Great Barrier Reef. Plus, it&#39;s just a short 30 minute trip from the mainland.

&nbsp;

Landing on Fisherman&#39;s Beach, ditch your shoes and sink your toes straight into the sand. Then, you can explore however you like!

&nbsp;

If you&#39;ve chosen to include snorkel hire, make your way to the beachfront watersports and activities hut to collect your snorkelling equipment and head to the nearest reef directly off Shelving Beach or Monkey Beach.&nbsp;You&#39;re snorkel hire is for the entire day, so it&#39;s your choice how you plan your adventure!

If you don&#39;t feel like swimming, come prepared with walking shoes for the wonderful bushwalks as you discover undisturbed wildlife and foliage. Alternatively, spend time just relaxing on the sand and soaking up the sun.&nbsp;

At any time between 11:30am and 2:30pm, make your way to the&nbsp;Great Keppel Island Hideaway Bistro. Your day includes&nbsp;anything from the lunch menu and choice of beer (XXXX or Great Northern stubbie or can), house wine or soft drink.&nbsp;

&nbsp;

You&#39;ll then head back to the mainland in the afternoon on your chosen departure.&nbsp;

Departure info

When departing Yeppoon in the morning, make your way to Keppel Bay Marina and the Green Ticket Shed near the Red Jetty ramp at least 30 minutes before scheduled departure. Then, when departing Great Keppel Island, you are required to be on Fisherman&#39;s Beach (roughly where the ferry dropped you off) no later than 15 minutes before the departure time.

Keppel Konnections

We had the most amazing day at Great Keppel, it is truly a magical place. Be prepared for a bit of a walk to get to the good snorkelling points. Although the vibe was absolutely outstanding, lunch was just passable. I had the pan fried local fish with chips, I’ve never had to chew fish like a steak but this i did. Very overcooked. Cocktails are great but very weak but all in all an absolute highlight of our trip and would go again in a heartbeat.

Great Keppel is magical

White sand beaches, beautiful blue water, rough wind though. We’ve chosen the complementary lunch which was good

It was a great day at Great Keppel Island. The crossing both ways was fine and the lunch super. We went snorkeling and saw little and bigger fish.

2. Child fares are for children aged between the ages of 5 to 14 inclusive. 
Infants 0 to 4 travel FOC if not occupying a seat. Must be advised at time of booking. 
3. Baggage allowance: Maximum 23kg per paying passenger. 1 suitcase or backpack + 1 small bag + 1 small esky. Excess luggage charge starts at $20. Kayaks, SUP, surfboards - freight fee $20. 
4. Credit card payments accepted. 
5. Keppel Konnections reserves the right to alter prices, apply a fuel surcharge, cancel departures, arrange alternative transport and vary itineraries and services if necessary. 
6. All cruises are subject to sea and weather conditions in the interest of passenger safety. 
Should the company be forced to cancel or alter cruises our liability is limited to offering an alternative cruise or appropriate refund no greater than the fare paid. 
7. Keppel Konnections cannot be held responsible for missed flights or consequent costs due to late arrival at airline check-in counter whatever the cause. 
8. The company shall not be held responsible for any property loss or damage and/or any claim resulting from personal injury or death arising whilst travelling with the company, participating in activities, on the vessel or pontoon or other company property. This disclaimer applies irrespective of the cause.
