Frequently Asked Questions

What should I bring?

  • Comfortable shoes. Over 2.5-3 hours, we will be walking 2.5kms, so wear comfy shoes.
  • Water bottle. We recommend a water bottle to keep yourself well hydrated.
  • Spending money. We recommend bringing some cash or a credit card for any additional purchases at either the cafe or the pub (and for the Glebe markets near where the tour finishes)

  • You can park at the Secure Parking lot on Harris Street. Please note the tour finishes within a 15-minute walk from here, and it is a 25-minute walk to the start location, so it is recommended to catch public transport.
  • Pyrmont Bridge is just a 5-minute walk from the Pyrmont Bay light rail station & less than 10 minute's walk from Town Hall train station (take exit 5)

We run tours, rain or shine. If it’s looking a bit rainy, bring your umbrella, grab your poncho, and get ready to have fun. We will never let a little rain stop us.

With that said, safety comes first. If weather creates a safety concern, either before or during the experience, we may cancel the tour. In this case, we will either reschedule the tour or issue a full refund.

Yes, the Hidden Sydney walking tour is wheelchair and baby-stroller friendly!

The tour is appropriate for children, depending on their age. Over the tour, you walk approximately 2.5 to 3 km total, at a relaxed pace, over 2.5 hours (with a coffee break in the middle). If you think your child is up for that, and that they would be interested in stories about local and Australian history, they are more than welcome to join.
