This tour departs on selected Saturdays at 7.30 am from Hobart CBD and returns here six days later at 5.30 pm. On your scheduled departure day, your tour guide will collect you from your desired pick-up location in Hobart sometime between 7 and 7.30 am.

If you’re travelling by yourself, then get ready to make some new friends! Solo travellers will need to select the single room option when booking their trip, as the tour operator cannot pair up single travellers in a twin/double room.

All activity and accommodation costs are covered on this trip, along with most meals. As a result, the only thing you really need to budget for are additional meals not included in the tour price and any souvenirs you wish to buy.
You’ll also want to factor in the cost of accommodation for the nights before and after your trip. A meal at a restaurant in Tasmania typically costs between $20 and $30 AUD, and tipping is not a requirement here.

We recommend bringing clothing that suits the season you’ll be travelling in. Packing at least one warm outfit is also a good idea, as it can get cold in the mountains even during the Summer months. To travel more sustainably, please bring a keep-cup (for coffee) and a reusable shopping bag. Other packing essentials include:
- Comfortable closed-toe walking shoes
- Toiletries and a towel
- Sunhat and sunscreen
- Waterproof jacket
- Swimsuit
- 1-2 litre refillable water bottle

You can bring a backpack or suitcase that weighs up to 20kg and can be stored away with ease. During the day, your baggage will be stored securely in our trailer and unloaded each evening. We also recommend bringing a smaller day pack for your daily tour essentials, such as drinks, jackets, and sunscreen.

You’ll be staying in motel accommodation in either a single or double/twin room with private ensuite bathrooms.
Please note that solo travellers who wish to book a private room will need to select the single-room booking option. The tour operator does not pair solo travellers in our twin/double room options.
