Your 11 day Morocco Tour begins in Marrakech and ends in Marrakech.

The beauty of this group style of travel is that it caters to travellers who are travelling solo and who want to meet and share experiences with like-minded people.

Rooming is organised on a twin-share basis. Solo travellers will be paired with another traveller of the same gender.

There is also an optional single supplement available on most trips for travellers who prefer to have their own room.

Absolutely!

This trip includes some long drives on winding roads. If you experience severe motion sickness, this trip may not be suitable for you.

Some of the best scenery on this trip will be found on hikes. So, while this trip doesn't require a high level of fitness, it's essential to be at least moderately fit if you want to partake in all activities. Please ensure you bring sturdy walking shoes and comfortable clothes.

All countries require a valid passport (with a minimum 6 months validity).

Contact your local embassy or consulate for the most up-to-date visa requirements, or see your travel agent.

It is your own responsibility to have the correct travel documentation. Visa requirements for your trip will vary depending on where you are from and where you are going.

Yes, travel insurance is compulsory on this trip.

Every traveller is different and therefore spending money requirements will vary. Some travellers may drink more than others while other travellers like to purchase more souvenirs than most. Please consider your own spending habits when it comes to allowing for drinks, shopping and tipping. Please also remember the following specific recommendations when planning your trip.

You can have a plate of food for a street vendor for AU$5-$10, however there are always more expensive options. From a mid-range, sit-down restaurant, expect to pay AU$10-$50 - not including alcohol.

When visiting sites of religious significance, all travellers should wear clothing that covers their shoulders and knees. In some sites, thongs are not allowed.  Please check with your leader or local guide.

When you pack your clothing, consider the climate at the time of year you are travelling and any specific requirements for your trip as at certain times of the year some of the items suggested in the list that follow may not be necessary.

Bear in mind that the weather will vary significantly from place to place.

If there are specific requirements for a trip they will be noted here, in the Essential Trip Information. Laundry facilities are available in most destinations.

Below is a list of equipment and documentation that we suggest you take with you. Please use this checklist as a guide when packing for your holiday.

  • Travel documents: passport, visa (if required), travel insurance, flight tickets, Essential Trip Information
  • Photocopy of the above documents
  • Spare passport photos
  • Money: cash, credit/debit cards
  • Money belt
  • Small padlocks
  • Metal chain and padlock to secure luggage on overnight trains – additional precaution
  • Small first-aid kit
  • Daypack for use on day or overnight excursions
  • Watch/alarm clock and torch/flashlight (and spare batteries)
  • Electrical adapter plug
  • Toiletries/roll of toilet paper/travel wipes
  • Insect repellent
  • Sunscreen, lip balm, sunhat and sunglasses
  • Earplugs and eye mask (for light sleepers)
  • Extra pair of prescription glasses (if required)
  • 2 strong plastic garbage bags (for laundry and in case of rain)
  • Refillable water bottle
  • Phrase book
  • Warm clothes - when travelling in cooler climates
  • Wind and waterproof jacket
  • Comfortable and sturdy walking shoes with good walking socks
  • Camera and charger, spare batteries
  • Swimwear

While you won't need to worry about carrying your luggage with you during the daily excursions, we still recommend packing no more than 15kg for this trip. It's also a good idea to pack your belongings into a large backpack rather than a suitcase, as this will make it easier to transport your luggage between the different accommodations.

Experience 10 nights in beautiful, carefully selected accommodations, seamless transportation through Morocco via private vans, buses, and taxis, and savor 10 breakfasts, 2 lunches, and 10 dinners!

If you have an existing medical condition or disability that may affect your trip or how the Operator delivers your experience, they ask that you inform them in writing at the time of your booking. You may be asked to obtain a medical certificate, and if they reasonably feel they are unable to accommodate your particular needs, they reserve the right to decline your booking.

While travelling on this tour, you'll experience a vast array of wonderful food. Your group leader will be able to suggest restaurants to try during your trip. To give you maximum flexibility in deciding where, what and with whom to eat, only some meals are included in this tour price.

This also gives you more budgeting flexibility. As a rule, groups tend to eat together to enable you to taste a larger variety of dishes and enjoy each other's company. If you have dietary requirements and/or food allergies, please let The Operator know at the time of booking or prior to departure.
