What if I'm travelling solo?
What if I'm travelling solo?
If you're struggling to convince your friends to join you on an adventure, you're not alone! Travelling solo on a group tour can be one of the most exciting ways to experience a new destination, and you won't have to wait around for your mates to be ready. You leave yourself open to meeting amazing people and making new friends and can keep your onward travel plans flexible.
Most group members are solo travellers, so joining one of the group tours is a great way to meet people and make friends. Before your trip starts, you'll be put in touch with the rest of your group so you can start chatting and getting to know each other. And after the trip, many people continue travelling with the new friends they've made.
Are flights included?
Are flights included?
Flights to and from the destination are not included in the price of the trip.
This trip does include a one-way economy flight from Auckland to Queenstown.
When should I book my flight to arrive?
When should I book my flight to arrive?
It’s best to arrive on the actual start date of the tours as there are no activities on the first day, so you’ll have plenty of time to recover from your flight and meet everyone in your group.
Backpack or suitcase? And how much should I bring?
Backpack or suitcase? And how much should I bring?
The Operator always recommends travelling with a backpack and packing light – 10-20kgs of stuff should be plenty. However, because it's often quite hot in the destinations, dragging around a huge suitcase is not fun! On most tours, there are also frequent (and well-priced) opportunities to have your laundry cleaned, so you don't need to pack a fresh set of clothing for every day you're away.
How much spending money will I need?
How much spending money will I need?
All activities, accommodation, transport and some meals are included on the trips, so you’ll need money for extra meals, drinks, shopping and onward travel. It's recommended you bring at least £900 / $1700 spending money.
What else do I need to know?
What else do I need to know?
You'll be prompted to download the INTRO Travel App, which has all the essential information you'll need for your trip, including stuff to get sorted before you go, a packing checklist, your complete itinerary, country info, and everything you'll need to ensure your trip runs smoothly.
What do I do after the tour ends?
What do I do after the tour ends?
During NZ Adventure you’ll get lots of help with organising your onward travel. Your guide will make sure you’re comfortable with what you’re doing, where you’re going, and help you with everything you’ll need to have the trip of a lifetime with the new friends you’ve made.
