What do we need to wear?
What do we need to wear?
You may wear whatever you are most comfortable in. Take into consideration that it does get cooler on the water versus being on land. Obviously, if it is in your interest to get wet, a bathing suit is recommended.

Each ride lasts approximately 10 minutes in the air and the entire duration of the trip lasts up to one hour and 15 minutes. Passengers take turn as others observe. We carry up to 12 passengers on board per trip.

We single, tandem and triple flights. It is based on a combined weight depending on the wind conditions at the time. The weight range is between 60 and 250 kilos. The wind is very changeable in the Bay of Islands therefore we cannot guarantee weights until the time of flights.

The team at Flying Kiwi Parasail has 20 years experience in the industry. All skippers and crew go through an extensive and thorough training process. We are fully certified, insured and one of the founding members of the New Zealand Parasail Association (NZPA).
Can we bring a camera?

Yes! You are more than welcome to bring your own cameras or Go Pros- Bare in mind Flying Kiwi Parasail do not take any responsibilities if it gets wet or you drop it. We offer a great option if you do not want to risk it with our awesome photo package for $35/flight. A Go Pro camera goes up in the Parachute with you and takes photos of you with the beautiful views in the background. You receive more than 100 photos and an optional video on an SD - memory card that you leave the boat with.

Big chance that we cannot take you on the flight. Anybody lighter than 75 kilos, we recommend booking a tandem or a triple flight with friends.

Our smallest safety harnesses will fit on an average 5 years old. Anybody younger than 8 years old should fly together with somebody of at least 14 years old and have a minimum combined weight of 75 kilos.
