Is the Gondola wheelchair accessible?
The base station is wheelchair accessible and one wheelchair is available for guests to borrow from reception. The cabins are wheelchair accessible for manual wheelchairs no wider than 600mm due to the cabin doorway width. An elevator is available at the summit station for wheelchair-bound guests to access the café & observatory and functions space levels.

The Christchurch Gondola is just a 15-minute drive from central Christchurch, and a large carpark is available at the Gondola Base Station for customers to use free of charge.
Transport to the Gondola is available on public bus number 28, departing from the Christchurch Bus Interchange between Lichfield and Tuam Streets behind The Crossing Complex. For those arriving at the Bus Interchange by tram, this is a short one-block walk from tram stops 5 and 8.
