Is the Gondola wheelchair accessible?
Yes, on request the Gondola can be slowed or stopped to allow easy access for all guests, assistance is also available if required at the base and the top of the Gondola. Our friendly team will be happy to assist to ensure you enjoy your journey.
Are there any age or height restriction for children on the Luge?
Are there any age or height restriction for children on the Luge?
There are no age restrictions for children, however children must be at least 110cm or taller to be allowed to ride the Luge unaccompanied.
Children between 80cm and 110cm tall can ride the Luge in tandem with an adult for an additional $5 per ride.

The gondola takes around 5 minutes to the top and 5 minutes back down.
What is a luge?
What is a luge?
The part go-cart, part toboggan, the luge is gravity fuelled with full rider control over speed and direction using a unique braking and steering system. Pull back on the handlebars to slow down or stop, release slightly to accelerate and enjoy the ride. The Luge is great for any age (our oldest rider is 101) and small children (provided they 80cm high or more) can ride with adults.

Tiki Tour Luge Track
A 1.7km scenic ride through Skyline’s very own Redwood Forest with viewing bays at great locations for taking photographs, enjoy a leisurely trip whilst enjoying the panoramic views. Towards the end you’ll ride past the famous Dinosaurs! The Hidden Forest Event Venue is located on this Track.
Gravity Luge Track
An exciting track to thrill all Luge riders, see who has the skill to make it to the bottom first. This 1.5-kilometre track features chicanes, a tunnel and awesome views over the city and Lake Rotorua.
Legend Luge Track
The Legend Luge Track stands up to its name! Twisting and turning down Mt Ngongotaha with 3 incredible corkscrews and colourful lit up tunnels this track will wow everyone that goes down.
Twister Luge Track
Fun for all ages this 1.4 kilometres this track comes off the new Legend Luge Track. Twister has its very own ‘Woosh!’ corkscrew and tunnel before you merge and end your ride down the last 400 metres of the Tiki Tour Track past the Dinosaurs.
Ultra Luge Track
Race your family and friends down the Legend Luge Track before splitting off onto the 1.3-kilometre Ultra Luge Track. With spirals and turns, you won’t be able to get the kids off this track - Once is never enough!
