Yes, the tour is family-friendly and children will enjoy exploring the castle and hearing about its history.

Photography is not allowed inside the State Apartments, but you are welcome to take photos of the exterior and the grounds.

There is some walking involved, particularly within Windsor Castle and the town, so comfortable footwear is recommended.

The tour operates rain or shine, so please dress accordingly. Many parts of the tour are indoors, providing shelter from the elements.

As you walk around the impressive grounds, it is almost hard to believe that successive kings and queens have been living here for over 900 years.

 
 
Inside the State Apartments, you will have the chance to explore the same rooms used today by The King and members of the Royal Family. The rooms here were intended to rival the Palace of Versailles in France, and paintings by renowned artists such as Rembrandt and Rubens adorn the walls.

 
 
Set within the grounds of Windsor Castle, St George&#39;s Chapel is one of the finest examples of Gothic architecture in England. Construction of the present Chapel began in 1475 under the reign of Edward IV. Its stunning stone ceiling and intricate details will leave you in awe, which was added by Henry VII.&nbsp;

 
The Chapel has been the location of many royal weddings including TRH The Earl and Countess of Wessex, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, and HRH Princess Eugenie and Mr Jack Brooksbank, and is not only a spiritual sanctuary, but also the final resting place of 11 British monarchs, including Queen Elizabeth II, Henry VIII, and Charles I.
