Explore the oldest public market in the US, the French Market, and hear about its Native American roots and current-day role in NOLA&rsquo;s culinary scene. Along the way,&nbsp;sample a beignet, brought to New Orleans in the 18th century by French colonists from &ldquo;the old mother country&rdquo; and also by Acadians.

Your local guide will then navigate you through the French Quarter, where you&rsquo;ll experience the influence of Cajun and Creole cultures on New Orleans favorites like gumbo and sausages.
