Fun for first-time divers! This is&nbsp;a quick and easy introduction to what it takes to explore the underwater world. Although this is not a scuba certification course, you&#39;ll learn all the steps it takes to be a PADI certified diver.

&nbsp;

Introductory Divers will receive a 1-on-1 skills session that will provide basic safety guidelines and skills needed to dive under the direct supervision of a PADI Professional, followed by a guided reef tour! Enjoy exceptional diving along Hawaii&#39;s famous reefs!

With Hawaii being the most isolated landmass in the world, the surrounding oceans are some of the most isolated as well &ndash; creating a unique habitat for many fish. Diving in Hawaii, you&rsquo;ll notice fewer of the large soft coral and sea fans you&rsquo;ll find other places, but rather shorter, stubbier corals that offer the strength and stability to handle the currents and pounding waves of the open ocean.

&nbsp;

Additionally, 21%&nbsp;of the fish you&#39;ll see are endemic to Hawai`i &ndash; you won&rsquo;t find them anywhere else! You might see some of these fish throughout each dive, such as Millet-seed Butterfly Fish, Saddle Wrasse, Multi-band Butterflyfish and more!

This is a unique and exciting experience for those new to the world of scuba diving and might even inspire you to become a certified diver!

Dive Oahu reserves the right to alter charter details or cancel charters should it be necessary, due to adverse weather, minimum passenger requirements, or other related conditions. Dive Oahu is not responsible for expenses and/or other related costs due to altered charter details or cancelled charters. Guests are responsible for providing Dive Oahu with correct contact information, to keep guests informed in the event of changes made to the charters booked.

The diverse marine life that lives in the sea is affected by ocean conditions, seasonal changes, feeding trends and other uncontrollable factors. While our experienced and knowledgeable crew make all reasonable efforts to find specific ocean dwellers, no guarantees are made for their presence.

	<li>Please review the Discovery Scuba Diver Information. If you answer &#39;yes&#39; to any of the medical questionnaire, please bring a signed copy of the Medical Statement signed by a doctor. Cancellations due to absence of required Medical Statement after the cancellation period forfeit any reimbursement.</li>

<h3>Cameras:</h3>

For safety and adherence to PADI Standards, Discover Scuba Divers and Student Divers are unable to utilize underwater cameras (this includes GoPros). If you are a Discover Scuba Diver or Student Diver and would like photos or videos of your dive experience, please contact our shop and we can arrange a photographer for you.

<h3>FOR ALL UNACCOMPANIED MINORS:</h3>

<ul>
	<li>CERTIFIED - Parent/Guardian must sign the Dive Oahu waiver electronically prior to arrival.</li>
	<li>NON-CERTIFIED - Parent/Guardian must sign the Dive Oahu waiver electronically prior to arrival and print/complete/sign the <a href="https://www.padi.com/documents/padi-courses/2.1.3.1%20dsdstatement_2014.pdf">Discover Scuba Diver Information</a> Packet. A <a href="https://www.padi.com/documents/padi-courses/2.1.5%20rstc%20medstate%20v201.pdf">Medical Statement</a> must also accompany any Discover Scuba Diver Information Packet with a &#39;yes&#39; listed on the Medical Questionnaire.</li>
</ul>

	<li>The minimum age is 10 years</li>
	<li>All guests must&nbsp;review the Discovery Scuba Diver Information. If you answer &#39;yes&#39; to any of the medical questionnaires, guests must also bring a signed copy of the Medical Statement signed by a doctor</li>
	<li>Guests must arrive 30 minutes prior to departure time</li>
	<li>The Operator reserves the right to alter charter details or cancel charters should it be necessary, due to adverse weather, minimum passenger requirements, or other related conditions</li>
