Gold Coast: Things to do this Easter

The Easter holiday period is an exciting time to visit the Gold Coast, Australia’s biggest playground! The beautiful beaches, stunning hinterland, and exciting attractions make the Gold Coast a popular destination for families, couples, and solo travellers alike. If you’re planning a trip to the Gold Coast this Easter, here are some must-do experiences for all kinds of travellers.

For the Adventurous

If you’re chasing adventure and adrenaline... the Gold Coast has plenty to offer.

Experience more thrills, more spins, & more speed on one of the Gold Coast's longest jet boat rides along the Broadwater, including the chance to spot majestic dolphins on your 55 min ride.

The ultimate adrenaline junkie won't be able to pass up the opportunity to skydive over the Gold Coast coastline. Skydive from 12,000 ft and land on the white sandy shores of Kirra!

For the Nature Lovers

The Gold Coast’s hinterland is a nature lover’s paradise, with lush rainforests, stunning waterfalls, and panoramic views. Take a day trip to the Springbrook National Park at Mount Tamborine and explore the walking trails that lead to the natural wonder of the Twin Falls, the Goomoolahra Falls, and the Purling Brook Falls. Mount Tamborine also has it's own coffee plantation, which can all be experienced on a day tour departing from Southport, Surfers Paradise or Main Beach.

For a more laid-back experience, head to the Botanic Gardens and enjoy a picnic surrounded by beautiful flowers, plants, and wildlife.

For the Foodies

The Gold Coast is known for its diverse food scene, with plenty of dining options to satisfy any palate.

Head to the Burleigh Brewing Co. for some locally crafted beers, which is one of many local breweries and distilleries dotted along the Coast. There is no better way to experience these hot-spots (because we know you'll want to try more than one brew) than a brewery tour.

If you’re in the mood for some Asian cuisine, check out the popular street food market at NightQuarter, where you can try a range of dishes from different Asian countries.

For the Families

Families will love the Gold Coast’s theme parks, with something for kids of all ages.

Visit Dreamworld for thrilling rides like the Tower of Terror and Buzzsaw, or head to Warner Bros. Movie World for movie-themed attractions like the Justice League 3D ride and the Scooby-Doo Spooky Coaster. For a more aquatic adventure, visit Wet’n’Wild for water slides, wave pools, and lazy rivers.

For the Culture Seekers

If you’re interested in the arts, the Gold Coast has plenty to offer. Visit the Home of the Arts (HOTA) and catch a show at the outdoor amphitheater, or check out the art exhibitions at the Gold Coast City Gallery.

If you’re interested in indigenous culture, head to the Jellurgal Aboriginal Cultural Centre and learn about the local Yugambeh people and their customs. Alternatively, embark on an immersive journey based on true Aboriginal & British historical events at the 'Spirits Of The Red Sand Dinner & Aboriginal Cultural Experience', featuring performances from the number 1 Aboriginal Dance Troupe.

The Gold Coast is a destination that offers something for everyone, regardless of their interests or age. From thrilling adventures to cultural experiences and scenic drives, you’ll never run out of things to do.

So pack your bags, plan your itinerary, and get ready for an unforgettable Easter holiday on the Gold Coast.
